Job Description

Position: Team Leader (Aircraft Appearance) Job Purpose dnata Airport Operations’ vast ground handling operations successfully service the major global hub that is Dubai International Airport. We deliver a seamless experience from check‑in to baggage delivery for more than 80 million passengers and 140 scheduled airlines annually. In This Role You Will • Deploy and plan the distribution and allocation of resources to ensure that all processes and activities are completed within the required time for operations on shift. • Lead and ensure the safety of staff, guiding them to work safely by providing support and direction, while modeling the desired safety behaviours. • Organize and supervise the work of a small team on the day of operations to ensure efficient completion of work in compliance with procedures and service standards. • Lead the team of staff on the day of operations who are handling incoming and outgoing flights as allocated. • Lead the shift briefing at the start of shift, ensuring that staff are aware of responsibilities and expectations in line with the SLAs. • Provide performance feedback to staff on shift to their respective line managers. • Ensure that all equipment and devices allocated to the team are used and cared for appropriately. • Conduct safety briefings regularly at the beginning of the shift to ensure adherence to all safety standards. • Intervene and take immediate action when there is risk exposure, model safe behaviours, and follow up on corrective actions. • Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to maintain a healthy and safe work environment. • Implement work instructions on the day of operations and ensure compliance with established standard operating procedures. • Ensure that staff grooming aligns with dnata standards and requirements. • Escalate issues to the Officers on shift to ensure that the proper corrective measures are followed up on. • Assist in manual handling activities when required. • Ensure smooth running and serviceability of relevant support systems and/or equipment, taking necessary steps in case of failure or breakdown. • Maintain appropriate records and documentation for the shift in the assigned area. Qualifications • High School with a Certificate and 4‑6 years of experience in business administration, aviation, ground handling or customer service; or • Diploma in business administration, aviation, ground handling or customer service with 2‑4 years of experience in the field. • Basic understanding of flight operations terminology. • Proficient understanding of Local/International aviation safety and security requirements. • Proficient IT and computer literacy.
